The Chicago Bears – A Hopeful 2010 Season

The Chicago Bears are one of the most beloved teams across the NFL, and one of the oldest as well. They have been playing professional football since before 1920, and have been playing their all time rivals -- the Green Bay Packers -- since only a couple years after their original start. Over this time, the Packers and Bears have played more than 170 games; fans can look forward to this battle every season. The Bears have always played well as a team, regardless of team members, even back when they were first formed. In fact, the team didn't experience big losses until nearly the 1930s. The Bears colors, that you know today, have been part of who they are since only three years after they started playing in 1922.

Chicago sports fans are very loyal and passionate about their teams, and all know who Wrigley field belongs to -- the Chicago Cubs. Ironically, the Bears needed a field to play on, back in the day, and that is where they scrimmaged. They soon thereafter had a field to call their own --Soldier field. Over the years the stadium began to fall apart, and was remodeled and ready to play in by the 2003 season. The stadium need such help, in fact, that only the street wall remains from the original, and the name was even changed to Soldier Field II.

The Chicago Bears have always made record sales for home games, and even games on the road. Ticket sales, for the Chicago bears, are well within the top 20 highest sales across the entire league. In fact, they are within the top 10 most profitable teams in the NFL, and its history, with a cash flow of 1.1 billion dollars. The combination of their solid history, the 2009 roster changes, and summer training, the 2009 season was just as eventful as every other season the Bears have given their fans. Jay Cutler, a Pro Bowl quarterback from the Broncos, joined the Bears in the spring of 2009, which added some great talent to their offensive line.

The team has retired many numbers / jerseys over the years, many of which belonged to phenomenal players and even some original team members from the beginning of their career. Bill George, George McAffee, George Halas, Sid Luckman, Harold Grange, Walter Payton, and many others join the ranks of retired Chicago Bears numbers. The team -- staff and players -- have proven them to be one of the greatest professional football teams of all time, and will continue to fight for this recognition. There is no doubt that the Chicago Bears will continue to provide fans and sports enthusiasts with amazing entertainment for years to come.

There is nothing quite like being at a football game and hearing the players throw each other around the field. The sweat, grunting, play calls, and yelling are enough to get anyone excited about the game. Many say you don't really experience football until you see the Chicago Bears play, especially live. This will be another astonishing year for the team. Don't miss you chance to see them play, live, at Soldier Field II.

The Most Accomplished QBs In Football Meet In This Year\’s Super Bowl

Every generation of football sees the emergence and prevalence of a few elite quarterbacks. In the 80s and 90s, we saw the likes of Montana, Elway, Marino, and Aikman dominating the sport. Currently, quarterbacks like Manning, Favre, Brady, and Brees are clearly the best in the game.

It should be fitting that the two of them will square off during the final game of the year. Both of them had what many believed to be career years, and more importantly, both of these teams were seen as the best in their respective conferences to start things off.

These have both been great teams throughout the year. In fact, they were the last two teams to lose a regular season game and many were predicting undefeated years for both of them after they remained undefeated well into December.

Neither the Colts nor the Saints finished out the season without a loss. In fact, each team lost two games, each for their own reasons. Still, this was enough to secure home field advantage, which clearly helped to secure a Super Bowl berth for each team.

When Indianapolis and New Orleans meet up with one another, fans will all agree about the fact that the winner will probably come down to the team with the more effective quarterback.

Experts usually look at the defensive units when it comes to the Super Bowl. They say that defense wins championships, but neither of these quarterbacks seem to be hindered by an effective defense.

This year, it looks like offense is the name of the game. While each team has an efficient defense that is largely responsible for the team\'s success, it really comes to down to each quarterback\'s poise, precision, and hunger on the field.

What happens from here is anyone\'s guess, but one thing remains true no matter what. The world will have the opportunity to enjoy to of the best quarterbacks in the world, both of them in their primes.
